Team members per workspace, and two new comparison pages

  • Settings → Team now lists everyone in the workspace. Owners can remove people, anyone can leave, and someone who already has a MicroURL account can accept an invite and switch between their workspaces. Agencies can invite a client or freelancer into just that client’s workspace.
  • Custom domains: a hostname someone else used before has to be proved with a TXT record before it serves your links.
  • New comparison pages for Flowcode and QR Code Monkey, and a guide to tracking how many people scan your QR code.

Pages in your visitor’s language, a visitor count, AI assistants that read your analytics, and link-in-bio pages

  • A free QR code checker: paste the link a printed code opens and see whether it depends on a QR service that can switch it off.
  • Change a link’s ending after you’ve shared it, like mirl.cc/Xy7Qp2 to mirl.cc/menu. The old ending keeps working, so printed codes and sent links don’t break. Every plan.
  • Bring printed codes back after a QR service closes: import links onto your own domain with their old endings, and every code printed on that domain works again.
  • A new page for contractors and home services: one code on the van, yard signs and invoices that opens your quote page, plus review and payment codes.
  • Pages in your visitor’s language: add a Spanish, Chinese or Vietnamese version of a menu or page, and the same link and QR code open it for visitors whose phone is set to that language. Every plan.
  • Make and edit link-in-bio pages from your AI assistant or the REST API: ask Claude or ChatGPT for a bio page with your menu and booking buttons, and it’s live behind a short link.
  • Contact cards can collect details: turn on sharing and people who save your card can send you their name and phone or email. Real estate agents get the buyer from the yard sign. Every plan.
  • Visitors: next to total clicks, your analytics now show how many different people (devices) opened a link, counted once a day each, so a sign scanned 300 times by 120 people reads as 120. Every plan.
  • Ask your AI assistant how a link is doing: Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP assistants (and the REST API) can now read a link’s clicks for the last 7, 30 or 90 days, with countries, websites, devices and languages.
  • Free payment QR codes for PayPal (with an amount if you like), Cash App and Venmo, for counters, market stalls and tip jars.
  • Clicks by language: your analytics now show which languages your visitors’ phones are set to, so you know which pages are worth translating. Every plan.
  • A free Google review QR code maker: paste the review link from your Google Business Profile and get a code for the counter, receipts and tables.
  • Link-in-bio pages: one page with all your links for your Instagram or TikTok bio, on your own domain, behind a short link and QR code you can change.
  • Contact cards from a spreadsheet: upload a CSV with your team’s names, titles, phones and emails, get a card and QR code for each, and download every code in one ZIP for the printer.
  • A new page for event organizers: one code on posters, tickets and badges that opens the schedule now and the photos afterwards.
  • A step-by-step guide to routing by country or device, A/B splits and opening links in the phone’s real browser.

A $9 Lite plan, period comparisons, bulk changes and five more free QR tools

  • Best days and times to share: a grid of when people click your links, by day and hour in their own time zone. Every plan.
  • Your week in plain words: the dashboard home now sums up the last 7 days in a few sentences, like your top link, where clicks came from and your busiest day. Every plan.
  • Split traffic (A/B test): send a share of a link’s visitors to a different page, up to five pages, and compare the clicks each page gets. Every plan.
  • Lite plan: $9 a month for 5,000 links, 250,000 clicks, 3 custom domains and 90 days of click history, with charts that update hourly.
  • Compare with the period before: "▲ 24% vs previous 30 days" on your click totals (paid plans), and the clicks chart now shows dates and numbers on its axes.
  • Change many links at once: upload a spreadsheet to point every menu, sign or campaign link at its new page in one go. Click history stays.
  • Contact cards: a QR code for business cards and sign riders that opens your details with a Save contact button, and stays up to date when your phone or job changes.
  • Free QR tools for guest Wi-Fi, contact cards, text messages, emails and phone calls, made in your browser with no account.
  • Comparisons with Uniqode and QR Code Generator PRO, an explainer on static vs dynamic QR codes, and a features page listing everything MicroURL does.

Bitly import, client workspaces, shareable reports and QR pattern styles

  • Import your links from Bitly in one go: paste a Bitly access token, check the preview, and bring them over 100 at a time. The token is used once and never stored.
  • Client workspaces: agencies can keep each client’s links, domains and analytics in a separate workspace and switch between them.
  • Shareable reports: send a client a read-only link to the click numbers for one link or one tag (say, all of that client’s links), no login needed.
  • QR pattern styles: classic squares, rounded or dots. Every style is tested to scan, and the corner squares stay square so phones still read them.
  • New pages for print shops, real estate agents and restaurants, a Rebrandly and a TinyURL comparison, and an explainer on why QR codes stop working.

Branded QR codes, bulk QR download, link tags, and a nonprofit discount

  • Branded QR codes: your colors, your logo in the middle, frame text like “Scan for the menu”, and a 1024 px print size. Colors that would make a code hard to scan are flagged before you download.
  • Tags: label links by client, listing or event, then filter both the links list and your analytics by tag.
  • Nonprofits and churches get 50% off any paid plan.
  • Download QR codes for many links at once: select them on the Links page and get a ZIP with a branded SVG and PNG for each.
  • UTM fields can now be edited on a link’s page after it’s created.

October 19–20, 2026

Agency and QR pages, a trust page, and more custom domains

  • New pages for agencies and for businesses that print QR codes, each with a short product demo, a comparison with Bitly and answers to common questions.
  • A trust page with our no-lock-in pledge: at least 90 days’ notice before any shutdown, your links and click data exportable at any time, and your own domain always yours.
  • Export every link (short URL, destination, tags, UTM fields, clicks) to a CSV file from the Links page.
  • UTM fields set on a link are now added to its destination when someone clicks, including routing-rule destinations.
  • Paid plans now include far more custom domains: 10 on Starter, 25 on Growth and 100 on Business.
  • A guide to using your own short domain in US text messages, so 10DLC campaigns aren’t rejected for public shorteners.

August 2, 2026

Accessibility fixes

  • Improved text contrast and heading structure across the site for screen readers.

July 11–13, 2026

AI assistants, smarter routing, and AI-crawler analytics

  • Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP-compatible assistant to list, create, edit and delete your links from a conversation. You approve the connection once.
  • Route one link to different pages by visitor country or device.
  • Optional: open links shared in Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn in the phone’s real browser on Android.
  • See which AI companies (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and others) fetch your links, and why, with CSV export.
  • Invites show who invited you and your role, and joining takes one click.

July 10, 2026

Free tools, custom domains, and CSV export

  • Free tools: QR Code Generator, UTM Builder, Link Preview, and mobile deep-link validators (AASA/Android Assets). No login required, and now available inside your dashboard too.
  • Bring your own domain: point a subdomain you own (e.g. links.yourcompany.com) at MicroURL for fully white-labeled short links.
  • Export click analytics to a CSV file for any date range.
  • Added India SMS/DLT compliance guidance for teams sending shortened links over SMS in India.

July 9, 2026

Trust and safety hardening

  • Every link destination is now screened for malware and phishing before it goes live, and re-checked periodically after.
  • Added abuse-prevention limits so a small number of bad actors can’t degrade the platform for everyone else.

July 6–7, 2026

Redesigned dashboard, bulk import, richer analytics

  • Refreshed the dashboard’s look across Links, Analytics, and Settings.
  • Bulk-import links from a CSV file instead of adding them one at a time.
  • Click analytics now break down by geography, device, browser, referrer, and time.

July 5, 2026

  • Real-time click tracking on every link.
  • Team invites and API keys for programmatic link creation, with a full REST API reference at /docs.
